After the AMA´s Janet hosted a 'Number Ones American Music After Party' at the Whiskey Blue in Westwood, California. Other guests were Ciara, Chyna Layne, Cuba Gooding Jr., and much more.

Janet performed at the AMA´s 2009 at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. a medley of 'Control', 'What Have You Done For Me Lately', 'Miss You Much', 'If', 'Make Me' and 'Together Again'.
